Guanyi Ren (USA)

   GuangyiRen, born on Nov 20, 1965 in Heilongjiang Province, China

   In 1979, at 14 years of age, began to study Shaolin Quan with ShaolinMaster Lü Yujun.

In 1983, at 17 years of age, recommended byMaster Lü Yujun, began his 10 years of study with Master Chen Xiaowang, 19thgeneration standard bearer of the Chen family

WorkExperience

   1991- Current，Founder and Chairman of International ChenStyle Taijiquan Association, founded to promote the teaching and practice ofTaijiquan

   Produced bi-lingual VHS videos of classic Chen style Taijiquan forms

   Trained gold-medal winning Wushu athletes and coaches of internationalWushu competitions

   Held Chen Style Taiji seminars

   Performed Taijiquan live at more than 150 shows, with more than 50,000 inattendance on one occasion; performed at    Carnegie Hall

   Students taught include the famous singer and actor Bette Midler,Godfather of Punk and Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famer Lou Reed and Record ProducerTony Visconti (Producer for David Bowie, T.Rex, etc.)
